The Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area is more than 170,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and open lands on a peninsula between Kentucky and Barkley lakes in Western Kentucky and Tennessee. Watch as interpreters in period clothing go about their daily tasks, including caring for rare and endangered breeds of livestock and cultivating crops with heirloom seeds. Golden Pond Planetarium Golden Pond Planetarium is a NASA Educator Resource Center and, as such, provides a view of the night sky from anywhere in the world inside the 360 degree, surround-sound, 40-foot domed theater with a Konica Minolta Mediaglobe II digital projection system. At the Observatory, you'll be given the opportunity to take a closer peep at the heavens via the facility's telescopes - they even have one designed for safe viewing of the sun!
