Warm summer days and wine tasting seem to be two things that go perfectly together. Where you go wine tasting matters, too, and we can think of no where than the beautiful state of Kentucky. When it comes to visiting wineries, Kentucky may not be the first, or even second, destination that comes to mind. Regions like California's Napa Valley or Oregon's Willamette Valley have been dominant when it comes to U.S. wine production, and French and Italian wines have long reigned as the kings and queens of winemaking.  That's changing though, and Kentucky is one state that's is stepping into the spotlight. An interesting and little known fact is that Kentucky was home to the first commercial winery in the country. It's wine making days date back to the 1800's!
