Thomas Irvine McElroy built this beautiful Greek Revival Plantation Home on 949 acres and presented it as a Wedding Gift to his young bride, Sarah Jane Maxwell.
Lavished with numerous architectural features, it is accented with Italianate detail, spans over 7,000 sq. ft., with 14' ceilings, 12' doorways, 9' windows, 13 original rooms - most are 20' x 20' with some even larger, and a grand cherry floating spiral staircase
1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor's colorful past includes stories of an Antebellum Plantation, use as a Civil War Confederate Encampment & Union Hospital, the Childhood Home to Phil Simms - former NY Giants Quarterback and Super Bowl XXI's MVP, a popular Dinner Hall, and Children's Home. Today it is a nationally-recognized Bed & Breakfast, Wedding/Special Events Showplace, Alpaca & Llama Farm, and Handcrafted Gift Gallery & Alpaca Fiber Studio.
This working farm is stately set on 15 tranquil acres, located on Central Kentucky's Bourbon Trail. The home is considered one of the best preserved Antebellum Homes in the Commonwealth.
For your comfort, each of the seven guest rooms are air conditioned and have private baths in the rooms. Guest rooms are spacious, antique-appointed, and elegantly decorated. Ideally suited for romantic escapes, Girlfriend getaways, special occasion celebrations, Murder Mysteries, Spa Treatments, or much needed rest and relaxation.
Awaken to the delightful strains of chamber music and the wafting aromas of freshly brewed coffee and hot-from-the-oven muffins, as the day begins with a specially prepared breakfast served on fine china in the dining room. An award-winning Full Country 'Gourmet' Breakfast is normally served between 8-10:00 a.m.

First time at a B&B and really didn't know what to expect. This place was AMAZING!!! The food was prepared fresh daily and the innkeepers are exceptional. It was the most relaxing weekend I've ever had staying away from home. There is not one bad thing I can say. I would recommend Maple Hill Manor to anyone. I'll definitely be going back. - BnB_lover - 11/27/2010

It was a fantastic weekend - great setting, great food, great accomodations. This was our second stay in a B and B and it definitely won't be out last. - c - 12/17/2008

Todd and Tyler are great hosts! I felt as if I were staying in my own home. My wife and I plan to return there in the near future. - SWatts - 09/06/2008
This is the 4th time I have been to this B&B with friends. This Inn can accommodate 12 comfortably. We have rented the whole house, which I highly recommend doing. You have the freedom to play cards/games, eat, watch DVD's, read etc whenever you want without disrupting anyone else. The rooms are beautifully decorated with private baths in each. The breakfast is delicious and the hosts very congenial. You will not be disappointed. - dmsrw - 08/24/2008
We had a wonderful weekend. After touring the Kentucky Bourbon Trail we stayed at Maple Hill. There were six of us and our hosts (Todd and Tyler) could not have been more gracious. We packed our dinner and spent the evening cooking on the grill and having cocktails under the beautiful trees canopying the patio. The room accomadations were perfect and we had a scrumptions breakfast in the dining room with perfect service. What a great weekend getaway. We will definitely go back.
